Thank you for this beautiful post! I loved how you wove your personal story of pilgrimage into the larger concept and history of pilgrimage. It made accessible and alluring.

What a wonderful essay, Zach. It felt like a pilgrimage. We are headed to Glastonbury, England in the spring and hope for the same adventures of the spirit that you experienced and recounted so well. As always the art and history is inspiring too. Thank you for all of that

I love your description of faith as "less as a set of defined statements I could intellectually assent to, and more as a trusting relationship with the divine, an openness to transformation by spirit and love."

The cross pressures of being a highly analytical person of faith is one of the great delights of my life and so I am grateful for writing such as yours that articulate this journey of connecting with the divine.

Thank you immensely, Zach. I could feel myself and my faith journey/struggle in lockstep with yours. The similarities are comforting and your outlook empowering. I hope I can be brave enough to engage in that spiritual pilgrimage and be willing to leave old habits and paradigms behind.

Thank you for the beautiful article. I have a favorite fantasy author who switches storylines just when you're completely hooked and I felt the same way reading your article.
