Wayfare Issue 7: Call for Original Hymns and Songs

Wayfare seeks original hymns and songs to be considered for publication in its signature print issues, and for potential use in future projects. Andrew Maxfield, Wayfare’s Director of Music, invites you to offer your compositions for consideration.

Wayfare embraces complexity, mystery, and eternity. We seek after the true, the good, and the beautiful wherever they may be found. Wayfare welcomes music that embodies these principles. In addition to hymns (unaccompanied SATB settings like those typically found in a hymnal), Wayfare also accepts songs. Songs can be as simple as a lead sheet, but must include melody, chords, and lyrics.

We are now accepting musical submissions for Issue 7. The Issue 7 theme is trust and spiritual confidence, though we will consider submissions on any topic. Submissions from creators with prior publishing or professional experience preferred. To be considered for Wayfare Issue 7, please submit your hymn by January 1, 2026.
