I know little of the fatigue experienced by a nurse, or a waiter, a day-laborer, a migrant, or the poor—all unique types of fatigue known best by those who experience them.
Beautiful writing. I love "God is light, and light finds a way..." I also loved the thought that we are "meant to transform suffering forever into love." That is what we do... in our families, our homes, our commmunities. Thanks. :)
I have read and reread this gift you have offered up, and I have savored every beautiful word and thought. Thank you from the very depths of my heavy soul.
Thank you for sharing these beautiful thoughts. They really help. I’m in the thick of it as a mum and high school teacher, and was feeling weighed down by the endless round of it all. This really clarified my thoughts. Wishing you many more moments of Grace each day.
Thank you for the courage to share such a sacred and vulnerable moment. It is indeed true that our fatigue, sorrow, and heartbreak are the means by which we gain the capacity to receive and be changed by His grace. I am also reminded of the verse in Mosiah 3:7 where we learn that even Jesus "suffered...fatigue." When I am wearied I sometimes feel His embrace of perfect empathy, reminding me that He knows the depths of my exhaustion. May His grace be with you continually.
As the single parent of 10 special needs kids (adopted at different ages and disabilities), I relate to this, though you said it more beautifully and profoundly. Now, still actively parenting in my 80's, I do rely for strength and comfort on gospel truths as I perceive them, but also on crime fiction writers I love and lots of chili rellenos.
What a beautiful sacred moment for you, and now you have extended that moment of grace to all of us. I happen to be on vacation with one of my three sons and his family, and just in the last hour the two of us were left alone on the lounges while the four kids, wife and grandpa disappeared. He fell sound asleep, and I had the unexpected joy of watching him (when would that ever happen now?), his dear face so like the one I watched forty years ago. And then, I read this. Grace indeed.

Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Beautiful. “Grace is the churn.” Wishing you peace and strength in the journey.
Beautiful. Thank you so much.
Stunning, Tyler. Thank you.
