This is a beautiful essay and the artwork is striking. The author's name rang a bell. I believe she was student and or a TA for my husband Don Marshall or possibly for Jon Green so many years ago. I would love to be in touch.
Hi, Jean! Yes, you have the right person. I was a TA for both Don and Jon. Don was one of the most gifted teachers I have ever known. I'm grateful to have worked with and learned from him. I hope you are well!
I read this essay in the Summer 2025 issue of Wayfare. It had a profound impact on me! I express my deep gratitude for sharing your story of personal loss and learning. I’ll be returning to this one again.
Jon and Karen were here from St. George a few days ago and I told them about Wayfare magazine and about your article. Since then I found the link to your piece and sent it. I think they would like to hear from you.
You may know Don died of Alzheimer's in 2022, and am still here and doing fine, juggling 4 book groups, doing Family History as well as sporadically sorting through Don's papers and memorabilia and supporting a granddaughter who lives with me and goes to UVU.
