I LOVED this essay! When I was a BYU professor, I’d introduce students to abductive reasoning in our science and religion unit, showing them how both fields employ some of the same rational processes, and abduction is chief among them. I’m drafting an essay that considers abduction in the context of one’s spiritual relationship to experience, whether conversion, reversion, inversion, retroversion, aversion (or any other relevant “-version” compound). I shall certainly refer to your essay!

Flattered and honored to be read so carefully, Glen. Thank you!

Eager to read more of your own work on the subject, and grateful for those that precede us: Peirce, Douvens, Harmon, Givens, etc., nevermind Artistotle to Ockham and Kant!

Abductive reasoning is among the most undertheorized and yet most used ways through the world: I'm grateful to have such welcomed co-wayfarers along for the ride/write!
